Creux's Best Friend

Creux loves remote controls, so we finally had to take the batteries out of an old one and give it to him. If not, he squirms so much during diaper changes that it's almost impossible to get it done. He fell asleep with his little buddy after his nightly bottle.

Creux and Daddy! Naked Baby!

Grandma Kima Visits

Grandma Kima and Jim came to visit for Mother's Day from Texas.
Grayson didn't know they were coming.

Grayson loved riding in their convertible.

Grandma Kima and Jim brought Creux his new favorite toy! He loves it!

Big Baby!

Grayson jumped in Creux's highchair at Grandma and Grandpa's house. I think someone might have been feeling left out that day. Being a big sister is a big adjustment from being an only child! She does pretty well overall and loves her baby brother more than anything!

Mother's Day Dinner

We all went to dinner together for Mother's Day. Here is Creux with Grandma Janice. He equates her with food. Don't we all!

Grandma Cheryl Visit

Grandma Cheryl stopped by a few weeks ago to visit with Creux. Lily had a haircut planned in Covington. Creux was happy to cuddle.

Lunch at the Lob

A few weeks ago, Creux, Jeremy and I had lunch with Aunt Ali, Chris, Muff, and Baby Ethan. It was so nice to see them. Creux pretty much slept the entire time. Ethan is such a big boy now! He was eating fish and broccoli!

6 month check-up

Creux had his 6 month check-up a week ago, and his mother needs to put on some make-up before allowing more pics! His head has gone from the 50th % to 75%, his weight from 95% to 75%, and his height is still 95%. So pretty much he's now long and thinner and his head isn't a pea anymore. This is good news because his ears are still at about 150% !!! lol. He's still adorable though, even if I am a little biased. He has to go see a urologist on May 5th, which I've neglected to tell half of you because I keep forgetting. It's not a big deal, very normal. If you want to know more, give me a call. For the first time ever, I'm going to show restraint and not give too much information. My Dad and Ali will be proud of me! They think my external filter is broken! See...I can be discreet. It's hard and no fun though, I just want you to know that!

Pretty In Pink

I walked downstairs the other day when Aunt Em was watching Creux while I was in the shower. He was wearing Grayson's new headbands, pink headbands. We let him wear them to Grandma and Grandpa's so we could take Grayson to her swimming lessons. She's a pollywog at the YMCA in Danville. She's really improving every week. OH! And Grayson came home the other day and asked if 7 year-olds could have boyfriends. Being the super sleuth that I am, I figured out her masked statement and asked if she had a boyfriend. She said she wasn't sure and that a boy asked her who her first boyfriend was and she told him that he was. The next day she clarified with him, through a friend of course, that yes, they were boyfriend and girlfriend. Of course, I had to have the "you are too young for a boyfriend" talk, which coming from someone who got caught kissing their boyfriend goodbye in kindergarten, was a little hypocritical! lol. Anyways, she said that means they don't think each other has cooties and they sit by each other at calendar time....whatever that is. I guess it's ok, but you should've heard her dad! I feel sorry for her when she starts dating. By the way, the boy is Caleb Ellmore, Ryan's little boy for those of you who remember my childhood friends. Like sands through the hour glass....

Gray's First Sleepover

Grayson had her friend Ella Martin over Friday night for a sleepover. Her first big-girl sleepover. It made me feel so old! They weren't here for five minutes before they came out in full costume changes....polka dot dresses! They were so cute. Here they are lying in one of Creux's toys watching Surf's Up with Mommy. I think I suggested it...it's one of my favorites. This one will have to go in their senior yearbook!

New Playmate--or Rude Awakening!

Starting Monday, Creux will be getting a new play buddy. I have been hired to provide child care for a 9 month old little boy named Brody. The two boys met today and they really liked each other. Of course, Creux was a little leary about sharing his mommy with another baby, but he did pretty well. Brody can sit up, so it makes it easier than with Creux who is still working on that milestone probably because he's held too much... (stop judging me! lol). When I put Creux down, he just rolls over and gets pissed that he's on his stomach and then screams at me until I pick him up. He's got me right where he wants me! I let him fuss it out but he just wears me down! I think next week might be a little rough on him because I've let him push me around thus far. Mama's boy Creux might get a rude awakening, but it will be good for him. Might make the grandparents happy too if he gets off of this "Mommy-all-of-the-time" kick! (I'll let you all in on a little secret though---I still love it when he does that!) Who wouldn't?

Hey Bumbo!

In the Bumbo seat that Uncle Josh got him

Creux got a new toy (puppy pictured here as well as a few outfits) for Easter from Grandma Janice the head rubber...I mean Grandpa Shorty. He used to hate it, but now he smiles and laughs when Grandpa rubs his head. He says he's trying to get his hair to grow. Every time we come home from their house, his head smells like Men's Stetson Aftershave! I still think it's one of the best smells in the world though--
But my son smells like a 73 year-old man!

The Elusive Smile!

Creux smiles all of the time, but I can never seem to get him doing it in a picture. He's very easy to make laugh, which is good, because my joke arsenal diminishes each day with my lack of adult interaction. Good thing all he needs is funny noises and belly rasberries to make him happy! Just like Daddy....lol.

Grandma Vickie, Grandpa Jim, and Uncle Josh visited this weekend. Uncle Josh went with Daddy and I to about twenty antique stores on Saturday, in horrible weather, and the grandparents visited on Sunday. Aunt Em and Grandma Janice/Grandpa Shorty helped babysit. We really missed the kids though. Grayson was at her Dad's so we decided to go out when she was already gone since she hates to antique. Someday she might like it though. Jeremy and I were both dragged around to stores when we were younger and hated it. Look at us now! Actually making a weekend of it. I guess it's kind of like me loving sweet potatoes now when I hated them as a child. Yeah....it's exactly like that!

Creux just saw a ghost!

Uncle Josh, Creux and Grandma Vickie

I think he's giving Jim hell!

Creux in his Devil Colors

I really need to get Creux some Purdue Gold and Black! I mean, my son is a winner and he should be wearing winning colors....not first-round-loser colors! Go Boilers!

The Same Goin' In As Comin' Out!

YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE MESSY PRUNE FACE PICTURE!

ONE OF MY FAVORITES OF DADDY AND CREUX!

THESE TWO ARE HAPPIEST WHEN THEY ARE TOGETHER!

HE'S SO SLEEPY THAT HE'S DOPEY IN THIS ONE!

Raiders of the Lost Archive

I found this picture, it's older, but I just liked it.

The Bouncer Wins This Round!

I can't remember when i took this picture but I just loved it! He loves being in his bouncer that Grandma Cheryl and Papa Bruce got him! He has adopted the title "Bouncing Baby Boy" and taken it to heart. Every time anyone stands him up on their lap, he starts bouncing...all of the time! And if he does it too soon after eating, it makes for a great big mess! He's got his mother's stomach....not good.

Oh Mr. Duck!

Creux loves his Mr. Duck. (original name I know. he also has a Teddy Bear named Teddy!) He has one at Grandma Janice's house and he loves it so much that she got him one for home. He likes to eat then stay in his high chair and play with his toys for a while. The above picture is right when he's had enough and wants me to hold him again, and again, and again, and some more!

Girl Scout Cookie Crazies

Grayson and I like the same Girl Scout Cookies...Chocolate Mint.....so here is Grayson caught red-handed stealing out of the communal stash! They don't last long around here. Thank goodness Jeremy likes another kind or it would be WWIII!

A Walk to Remember

Creux and I went for our first nice weather walk a few weeks ago. We met up with Grandma Janice and walked to the school to pick up Grayson. She didn't know we were coming so it was a good surprise.

A Late Night!

Mommy's looking a little rough! Must've been a late night.
